Dr. Muhammad Asim is Board certified in Gastroenterology by American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of American Gastroenterology Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He has been practicing Gastroenterology since 2009 at Advanced Gastroenterology Associates in Decatur, Southlake and Grapevine, Texas. He is the Chief of Staff at Wise Health System Hospital.
Clinical interests include the diagnosis, evaluation and management of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, large intestines, gallbladder, liver and pancreas. Disorders including but not limited to:
Achalasia, Barrett’s esophagus, Celiac Disease, Cirrhosis, Colon Cancer, Chronic Constipation, Colitis, Crohn’s Disease, Diarrhea, Diverticular Disease, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Esophageal Motility Disorder, Fatty Liver, Gallbladder Disease, Gastroesophageal Reflux (GERD), Gastrointestinal Bleeding, Gastroparesis, Hemorrhoids, Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD), Liver Diseases including viral infections, Lymphocytic Colitis, Pancreatic Diseases, Peptic Ulcer, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, Ulcerative Colitis.
Dr. Asim believes in delivering the safest evidence based clinical care to his patients utilizing procedures including: Anorectal Manometry, Barrett’s Esophagus with RFA, Bravo pH Probe, Capsule Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, EGD, Enteroscopy, ERCP, Esophageal Manometry, TIF Reflux Treatment, Stretta Reflux Treatment.
I had the opportunity to meet Aimee Simington NP last year, for an issue with my health. I am very impressed with her professionalism and knowledge. She handled the problem and corrected it! I will continue to see her on a professional basis as often as I need to have an issue addressed. On a personal note she has been very caring and listens to me when I just need to talk about these issues that I have had in the past. She spends time with me until she knows all of my questions and concerns have been dealt with.
Dr. Asim and his staff at Advanced Gastroenterology have shown the utmost professionalism in the handlig of my medical needs. Dr Asim has been very patient and understanding in my many questions regarding my condition. He has explained every step whether it was on medications or procedures with great care. The dedication and warmth that Dr. Asim and his staff have shown in very detail of their work has been priceless to me.
